Residential house E1 in Bad Boll. New construction combines design, comfort and sustainability.
The requirement was the creation of a single-story and barrier-free single-family house with a flat roof in a special location. As the property is located in a water protection area, ecological aspects played a role. The project was implemented in a construction period of only six months.
Project dataAfter the client and architects had selected the plot together, an exclusive residential building on one level was created after an intensive planning phase - a villa as a detached, representative single-family house with a generous garden area.
The essentials count
In the architectural design, the effort was to eliminate the superfluous, carefully select materials and use them functionally. The reduction to a few materials gives the structure a sense of calm and lightness.
The building and the floor plan respond contextually to the local conditions. Closed and reduced towards the street, the house opens up to the garden and the surrounding greenery. From the terrace, the floor plan is revealed to the visitor. Between two wings lies the patio, which connects both wings and creates a comfortable lounge area.
The main wing houses the main communal living spaces. While this part of the building was designed to be open and flowing, the rooms behind it are demarcated and characterized by privacy. The large-scale glass elements are striking. In contrast, the street-facing façade has only small window openings. The other wing houses the children's area and ancillary rooms. Both wings are barrier-free.
