Hermle-Areal in Gosheim - harmony and nearby areas for living.
Gosheim is getting a new center - a lively, sustainable district that combines urban living with green open spaces. The further development of the existing buildings, innovative forms of housing and climate-friendly mobility will create a sustainable place that harmoniously combines living, working and community.
Project data
The urban development concept for the new center of Gosheim combines urban density with green open spaces and focuses on sustainability and social interaction. The central element is Hermle Square, supplemented by a west-east axis, a pedestrian bridge and a park access.
The quarter is divided into public (square, café, park), semi-public (residential quarter, cultural stage) and private areas (gardens, balconies). Motorized traffic is largely excluded; parking spaces are located in a neighborhood garage. In addition to living space, there is a café and an engagement room with a co-working area. Potential areas on Hauptstrasse and Ringstrasse offer further development opportunities.

The majority of the Hermle site will be retained, with some of the existing buildings being demolished and others being extended to create scale and open spaces. Roofs will be converted into solar panels or roof gardens.

A sustainable extension with wooden modules is being implemented to expand the living space. The former industrial buildings will be fitted with arcades, balconies, sun protection and vertical greenery to regulate the microclimate.
