Project dataUrban planning and architectural concept
The new KiFaz building complements the settlement structure and serves as a striking prelude to the neighborhood. As a children's and family center, it will be the central point of contact in the area.
Utilization
The daycare center is located on the first floor and 1st floor with its own entrance. The family center on the 1st floor is separately accessible. From the 2nd to the 13th floor, there are 96 residential units, including 2 cluster apartments for 6 people each. The apartments are 45 m² to 95 m² in size and have 2 to 4 rooms. The building is accessed via a central core with two elevators, one of which is a fire department elevator.
Construction
The building is based on a grid of 1.50m x 1.50m and is a solid construction with a high degree of prefabrication, which offers economic advantages and a shorter construction time.
Materiality
The building is a monolithic structure with recesses that provide plenty of daylight and a feeling of security. The façade consists of mineral wool insulation, metal façade elements and photovoltaic modules as part of the energy concept. The glazed terraces to the south offer a high quality of stay.
