Studio Mentes in Goeppingen. A modern hairdressing salon in industrial historical building.
Such a realization succeeds when the owner has developed precise ideas and these are conceptually combined with good interior design. The first step involved supporting the hairdresser in the search for a location.
In the west of Göppingen, suitable premises were found in the former factory building of the Boehringer company. The hair salon studio is now located in the former entrance and reception area of the old industrial complex. It is housed on one level and is located on the first floor directly on the corner of a well-frequented street intersection.
The central guideline in solving all design issues was the clientele, which is always the focus. Interior design, lighting ambience and simple furnishings support and sharpen the focus. The reception area, furniture and materials such as curtains and surfaces, including the color concept, were developed in close cooperation with the owner. For the lighting, the choice fell on a solution that corresponds to natural daylight. For the surfaces, special requirements applied due to the specific stress of the work equipment used in a hair salon.
In the implementation, the consistent customer orientation led to a reduced design. The industrial atmosphere of the existing building is accompanied by the interior design. The simplicity and clarity of the interior design of the former factory building promotes the defined purpose: an individual and concentrated focus on the customer during consultation and service.
