Industrial innovation hub in container design.
With the HIVE project, a forward-looking technology campus is being created on the traditional Boehringer site in Goeppingen , which combines development, application and production in an overall architectural concept. As planning architects, we are supporting the transformation of this site into a platform for real, technology-driven value creation.
Project data
The central architectural element is the house-in-house principle: 22 completely upcycled 40-foot shipping containers form a modular spatial structure on two levels that enables a wide variety of usage scenarios - from workshops and prototyping cells to test environments and laboratories. Unlike traditional office space, the flexibly rentable containers promote the close proximity of research, development and application.
A central marketplace links the units together: with a kitchenette, cafeteria, spacious and small meeting rooms and terraces on the roofs, this creates an open space for exchange, encounters and interdisciplinary collaboration. The industrial feel of the material, combined with a well thought-out spatial structure, gives the campus its unmistakable character - raw, functional and inspiring.

HIVE is an innovative space for pioneers, inventors and technology companies - a lively place where ideas become reality.
