With the hive project, a forward-looking technology campus is being created on the traditional Boehringer site in Goeppingen , which combines development, application and production in an overall architectural concept. A place for progress
hive - hub for innovation, vision and execution, Goeppingen , a unique location for technological progress, creative development and interdisciplinary collaboration, is being created on the former Böhringer site in Goeppingen . The project combines architectural vision, sustainable construction and a future-oriented utilization concept to create an AI campus with appeal far beyond the region.
New space for ideas
Where industrial production once dominated the site, the heart of a dynamic future campus is now beating. Hall 1 of Plant 3 is home to hive - a space for research, development and creative work. The central architectural element is the house-in-house principle: 22 completely upcycled 40-foot shipping containers form a modular spatial structure on two levels that enables a wide variety of usage scenarios. Workshops, prototyping cells, laboratories and meeting rooms can be individually designed - always with the aim of combining technology and creativity.
Open. Connected. Visionary.
The heart of the KI-Campus is the large central marketplace. An open kitchen, seating and communal office space create meeting places and promote exchange, interdisciplinary work and creative impulses. It is complemented by a second, smaller square on the left-hand side of the hall, which opens up additional meeting points and opportunities for retreat. Large window formats allow views into the containers, create visual connections and make visible what is happening inside: Innovation in real time
Growing together, working together
hive is a joint project - initiated by the town of Goeppingen, Wohnbau Goeppingen, Kreissparkasse Goeppingen, Mira Vision, Kleemann, Leonhard Weiss and EVF - Energieversorgung Filstal. Together they are creating a place that attracts talent, strengthens the innovative power of the region and facilitates cooperation between research and business. The founders have already moved in. Right from the start, hive has thrived thanks to its community, which actively shapes the AI campus and fills it with new ideas.
The powerful conversion of industrial substance gives "HIVE" a charismatic framework for collaborative working. The modular container structure creates a flexible spatial logic that effectively promotes exchange and productive interaction. Authentic materials and the central marketplace combine past and future to create a lively place. The consistent sustainability and the identity-creating overall design set a particularly convincing standard in this award class!
