The HIVE - Hub for Innovation, Vision and Execution, a pioneering technology and innovation campus, is being built on the former Boehringer GmbH industrial site in Goeppingen . As the responsible planning office, we are supporting this transformation process, which will create around 2,540 m² of gross floor area and approximately 21,505 m³ of gross volume.

The focus is on combining production, research and creative collaboration: the HIVE building is being realized in Hall 1 of Plant 3, which forms a modular spatial structure on two levels with a house-in-house principle consisting of 22 completely upcycled 40-foot shipping containers. This approach creates flexible workshops, prototyping cells, laboratories and meeting rooms that can be individually adapted to a wide variety of usage scenarios.

The heart of the campus is a spacious marketplace inside the hall: an open kitchen, communal seating and work areas as well as a secondary meeting point open up spaces for interdisciplinary exchange, creative impulses and collaboration. Large window formats allow views into the container structure and visualize innovation in real time.

The project was initiated by partners such as the town ofGoeppingen, WohnbauGoeppingen, KreissparkasseGoeppingen and the companies Mira Vision, Kleemann, Leonhard Weiss and EVF - Energieversorgung Filstal. Together, the aim is to create a place that attracts talent, bundles regional innovative strength and promotes cooperation between research and business.

This campus is more than just a building: it is a future laboratory for technology, creativity and collaboration. As a planning office, we see it as our task to design architecture not just as a shell, but as an active platform for innovation and development.
