Todtnau fire station - A forward-looking new building for more safety and space
The planned construction of the new fire station in Todtnau marks the beginning of a new era for the local fire department: after many years of cramped conditions and growing challenges, a modern location is now being created that will meet the requirements of modern fire department operations in every respect.
Project dataA location with prospects
The new fire station will be built on the site of the former bus station in Todtnau - a site that is impressive in several respects: it is centrally located, has good transport links and offers sufficient space for the functional and logistical needs of an efficient fire department. A feasibility study carried out beforehand had confirmed that the site was ideally suited, which ultimately led to the unanimous approval of the preliminary design by the local council.
Planning with vision
The plans were developed in close consultation with the fire department and the municipal committees and take into account both the functional structure of the building and a contemporary architectural design. The focus was on aspects such as clear routes, efficient processes in the event of an emergency and sufficient space for vehicles, equipment and training. At the same time, care was taken to ensure that the building blends harmoniously into the cityscape and highlights the role of the fire department as a central institution in the community.

Room for modern operational readiness
The existing fire station in the immediate vicinity of the town hall has long since reached its limits: The parking spaces are too small for modern emergency vehicles, the storage options are limited and the spatial separation of changing rooms, technology and administration no longer meets today's requirements. The new building provides a remedy - with well thought-out functionality, more space and an environment that is better suited to both the volunteers and the full-time administration.
