1st prize in the competition: Children and Youth Campus Remchingen.
Space for the future of children and young people
How do we create spaces that give the young generation of our society good conditions for growing up and getting an education? - a question we deal with every day in our office.
For our competition entry for the children's and youth campus in Remchingen, we dealt with it particularly and especially intensively over a period of several weeks. The municipality of Remchingen was looking for solutions for the realization of a daycare center, a cafeteria and an all-day care center. In an existing area, the uses were to be cleverly integrated in terms of urban development, whereby the division and arrangement of the building structures was left to the participants.
After many weeks of work by our competition team, there is not only time and energy in the designs. But also a lot of heart and soul, a bit of love, and the firm desire to implement this idea, which is to create space for the future of the young generation.
And because we know the first-class work of the other participants, we are all the more pleased that the jury awarded our work 1st prize. And congratulate our competitors for their good work.
Structures identical in floor plan create qualitative space
Our design envisages two square structures that are successfully placed on the campus in terms of urban planning. The chosen basic form enables coherent and functional floor plans; circumferential balconies as well as a roof terrace create protected outdoor spaces that offer a high quality of stay.
