Groundbreaking ceremony in Todtnau

Groundbreaking ceremony for the new Todtnau fire station
The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony marked the official start of construction on the new fire station in Todtnau. Following a lengthy planning and preparation phase, this project will make a significant contribution to public safety and the fire department’s long-term sustainability.
The new building is being constructed on the site of the former bus station and will provide significantly better working conditions for the volunteer firefighters. Modern vehicle bays, state-of-the-art training and break rooms, as well as ample space for equipment and training, create ideal conditions for the fire department’s wide range of duties.
The new building meets the growing demands of the fire service and replaces the previous facility, which no longer adequately meets current needs. At the same time, the city is sending a clear message of appreciation to the firefighters, who work around the clock to ensure the safety of the public.
With the start of construction, work is now underway on a forward-looking project that will strengthen the fire department’s operational readiness in the long term and create significant added value for the entire region.
