The traditional house at Seepromenade 11 in Überlingen, which has been owned by the Oexle family since 1919, was extensively renovated and given a new lease of life by Yvonne Oexle-Buhr. Between 2021 and 2024, a comprehensive restoration was carried out, during which the staircase was relocated, the entrance was opened up to the lakeside promenade and the building as a whole was restructured. Today, the listed building houses restaurants on the first floor, conference rooms on the upper floor and modern rental and vacation apartments with a view of Lake Constance on the top floor. During the renovation, particular emphasis was placed on the preservation of the historic building fabric and a sustainable upcycling concept. The project has already received several awards for the successful interplay of history, architecture and new use.
