The ground-breaking ceremony for the new fire station in Mögglingen took place last Monday evening. This symbolic act marks the realization of a long-cherished project that will provide the 49 active members of the fire department with a modern and functional building.

Christian Gaus, the architect of the project, welcomed all those present and thanked in particular the local council, the fire department and those involved in the project, who had worked hard to ensure that the costs could be reduced despite the difficult construction developments in recent years.

In his speech, Gaus emphasized that this building is not just about a functional fire station, but above all about the people who work there. "It should actually be called the Firefighters' People Building," he said. The building should not only serve the firefighters as a place of deployment, but also offer space for relaxation and to process the sometimes stressful deployments.

Fire stations are among the core projects of the Göppingen-based architecture firm. For this reason, the Gaus Red sub-brand was created as part of a rebranding, which specializes in special buildings such as fire stations. Team 112, which focuses on the planning and realization of fire department buildings, was also on site and was available to answer any questions.

With this strong expertise from a single source, Gaus is a specialist in the field of fire department buildings. Together with all those involved, we are looking forward to the realization of this important project and to contributing our experience and expertise to create a modern and sustainable home for the Mögglingen fire department.

The new building is supported by the state of Baden-Württemberg with a grant of 1.2 million euros and offers the Mögglingen fire department the opportunity to continue its valuable work in a modern and future-proof environment.
