Review of the event "EINSEINSZWEI - The digital room chat"
On July 10, 2024, the event "EINSEINSZWEI - Der digitale Raumplausch" took place at 6 p.m., at which Christian Gaus and Astrid Schimmer discussed the fascinating connection between architecture and operational readiness. Good architecture is not created by chance, but follows the rules of aesthetics and functionality. Fire stations are not only functional buildings, but also integral parts of the urban and social fabric.
In our "einsseinszwei" exhibition, we presented how we develop contemporary and functional fire stations that offer added value to both society and building culture. Our projects show how well thought-out architecture not only meets practical requirements, but also takes aesthetic and social aspects into account. Fire stations must be designed in such a way that they meet the high demands of operational readiness and at the same time make an attractive and sustainable contribution to the urban landscape.
Our discussion partners were Astrid Schimmer, commander of the Ehningen volunteer fire department and an expert in building physics and fire protection, and Christian Gaus from Gaus Architekten. Both contributed valuable insights and experience that enriched the discussion. Astrid Schimmer emphasized the importance of a well-planned infrastructure for the efficiency and safety of firefighting operations, while Christian Gaus presented the architectural challenges and solutions that were implemented in our projects.
The event was broadcast live on YouTube and allowed viewers to participate interactively, ask questions and make comments. The viewers showed great interest and actively participated in the discussion, which led to a lively and informative exchange.
We would like to thank all participants for their interest and dedicated participation. The positive feedback and numerous inquiries have shown that the topic is of great interest. We look forward to future events and further exciting discussions about the interfaces between architecture, functionality and social benefit.
