Wood in Performance: Lignotrend Erfatag 2024

Is the future made of wood?

Manufacturers, craftsmen, planners and networkers from the DACH region met at the perfect location in the Black Forest, one of the oldest sources of wood in Germany, for the "Lignotrend Experience Day 2024". The overarching theme of the exchange was the future-oriented topic of "Wood in Performance - for People, Buildings and Planet".

Our contribution: Site manager Jo Effenberger showed around 300 guests the timber fire station in Tübingen-Lustnau as "best practice" in the field of architecture.

Every journey begins with the first step: we have to get going. Try it out. Just do it. This is the only way to find new ways to meet the challenges of our time.

During the exchange with other experts, it became clear that timber construction has great potential - especially in combination with other building materials and in hybrid construction methods. We should have the courage to make more use of it.

Our conclusion: The future is not only made of wood. But wood is definitely part of the future.
