Inspiring impulses: Christian Gaus on the Heinze ArchitekTOUR at the Millerntor Stadium in Hamburg
On September 10, 2024, Christian Gaus was a guest speaker at the Heinze ArchitekTOUR at the impressive Millerntor Stadium in Hamburg. This event provided a suitable platform for discussing the latest trends and developments in architecture. In the unique atmosphere of the traditional FC St. Pauli stadium, architecture enthusiasts and experts came together to rethink the future of construction.
The day began with an exclusive tour of the stadium
The day started with an exclusive tour of the stadium, which gave participants fascinating insights into the architectural design and history of this special place. This extraordinary introduction created an inspiring backdrop for the rest of the day and raised the visitors' expectations.
This was followed by interesting presentations, in which Christian Gaus particularly stood out with his exciting contribution on sustainable timber construction. Using the award-winning fire station in Tübingen Lustnau - a showcase project of the Baden-Württemberg timber construction offensive - he illustrated how the regional building material timber represents a forward-looking solution for municipal construction projects, both functionally and aesthetically. Gaus addressed key challenges such as fire protection, noise protection and flood protection and showed how these can be masterfully solved in the context of sustainable construction. The project has already received international recognition and also aroused great enthusiasm among those present.
In addition to Gaus' lecture, Prof. Xaver Egger from Sehw Architektur gave a gripping presentation on architectural concepts with social added value, which impressively underlined the broad thematic diversity of the event. The ensuing discussion showed just how much interest there is in sustainable and future-oriented solutions for the construction world. Another highlight of the day was the exclusive podcast recording in which Christian Gaus took part with Heinze. Here he was able to go into more detail on some of the key topics of his presentation and further explain the importance of sustainable construction projects. Further information will follow as soon as the podcast is published.
Next stop: Kiel
Immediately after the event, Christian Gaus set off on his onward journey to Kiel. There he attended important meetings for the planned new construction project for the daycare center in Kiel-Dietrichsdorf. For almost a year now, Gaus Architekten has been operating a location in the coworking space "Fleet7" in the heart of Kiel in order to network optimally and actively shape the regional building culture. The project in Kiel-Dietrichsdorf marks another milestone in the successful development of Gaus Architekten.
