High demand leads to unanimous decision in the municipal council: new kindergarten with refectory to be built in Remchingen.

Build when there is a need

Our concept for the Remchingen Children and Youth Campus, for which we were awarded 1st prize in February 2022, envisages two two-story square structures next to the existing school for the uses of a kindergarten and a cafeteria. Due to construction price increases, the project faltered - but now the Remchingen municipal council has unanimously decided to submit the building application.

Doing nothing is not an alternative.

The most important argument for the decision: The high demand for childcare places in Remchingen. The number of children on the waiting list has long been high, according to Remchingen Mayor Luca Prayon. Creating interim solutions in several existing buildings was neither attractive, nor pragmatic, nor even more economical.

Carefully integrated into the development

The two square structures envisaged in our design blend unobtrusively into the existing development with adjacent school and residential areas. At the same time, both offer comprehensible accessibility. Protected outdoor areas such as the roof terrace on the upper floor of the Mensa building create special recreational qualities.

A simple yet intelligent energy concept and the conscious choice of materials lead us to expect a sustainable building that points boldly into the future.

Start of construction still in 2023

The building application is now to be submitted in April 2023. In the same year, construction will begin - planned for November. Discover on our project page until then but already the planned floor plans and more photos or views. We are looking forward to the project.
