Commitment to sustainability at the Bizet school campus: signed by the building owner.
Putting words into action
If we want to build sustainably, we can't just talk about it. We have to take concrete steps.
That is why our office has long been part of the Phase Sustainability - an initiative of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) together with the Federal Chamber of Architects. The Phase Sustainability is intended to specifically push sustainable and climate-friendly construction - it should ensure that sustainability in construction does not remain an exception, but becomes the new normal.
Today, our owner Christian Gaus and Marc Kersting, mayor of the city of Suessen, signed the Declaration of Sustainability, a declaration on how exactly the sustainability goals are applied to our project School Campus Bizet in Suessen . This binds us and our building owner to the DGNB initiative.
Because we don't just want to talk, we want to act. And we believe that sustainability has long since ceased to be part of the optional program. It is now a mandatory part of the program.
It is important to me and the city of Suessen to set an example with sustainable and future-proof buildings. In this way, we are creating a lighthouse project with the Bizet school campus, especially as a public-sector client.

Investment well spent
The Bizet school campus is not only an investment in the future of the environment - but also in the future of our society. After all, one of the most valuable investments in our society is to commit to children and young people.
As architects, we are proud when we contribute to this with our projects: In close cooperation with the school association Suessen as well as the students, we want to create a future-oriented landscape with the school campus Bizet, which offers an optimal framework for learning and living.
