Double Recognition: Two ICONIC AWARDS for our educational projects!

Great joy at Gaus: Two of our educational buildings have each received an ICONIC AWARD. The Children’s and Youth Campus in Remchingen and the Bizet School Campus in Suessen were each named “Winners” by the international panel of experts.

With this award, the German Design Council is recognizing two projects that embody our approach to educational architecture in a unique way: The focus is on the people who will use these spaces in the future for learning, playing, interacting, and growing together. Flexible spatial concepts, clear wayfinding, and high-quality common areas create contemporary learning environments in both projects that can adapt to a variety of needs.

Remchingen Children's and Youth Campus

With the Children’s and Youth Campus, Remchingen is gaining a vibrant educational and social hub for people of all ages. A preschool, cafeteria, and after-school care program complement the existing school to form a cohesive campus. Clearly organized spaces, short distances, and sheltered outdoor areas foster both a sense of community and opportunities for quiet reflection.

The Bizet School Campus brings together a middle school, a comprehensive school, and the Special Education and Counseling Center into a single learning environment. Three interconnected buildings house classrooms and specialized rooms, the school administration, a cafeteria, and areas for all-day care. Flexible spaces enable a variety of educational approaches, while the use of natural materials and a carefully considered color and material scheme create a pleasant learning atmosphere.
