For many years, Christian Gaus, an architect from Göppingen, shaped and molded the chamber's work in the district as chairman of the board. He leaves his successor Gerrit Klaus a thriving chamber group - and a diverse legacy. After 12 years in office, Christian Gaus is passing on the work of the board.

Much attention for new event formats

Throughout the state, the chamber group Goeppingen has been much noticed in the past. New event formats such as the "Night of Architecture" or the "Fireside Chat" were included in the manual of the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects and have set new standards in chamber work.

Particularly important to Gaus was also the joint effort to establish a design advisory board in the district Goeppingen - where 12 years ago nothing existed, today a competent Team discusses the topic of building culture in the district.

Stable Executive Board work through orderly handover

Klaus works as a freelance architect and has been running the architectural office Gerrit Marius Klaus in Donzdorf since 2000. He studied at the University of Stuttgart. For him, good architecture means planning and building houses that fit and give pleasure.

In the chamber group, Klaus has accompanied Gaus' work for decades and has also been active on the board for several years.

Natalia Kestel, department head in the district's building construction office Goeppingen, who has held her post since 2018, remains vice chair of the board. The other board members have also been working together for years.

We are pleased that the Team will be retained and that we will therefore be able to seamlessly continue the work of recent years.
