Rudersberg is sending a strong signal for the future: the municipal council has approved the construction of a new joint rescue center for the fire department and Red Cross by a large majority. This will create a modern, sustainable location that will strengthen the safety of citizens in the long term.

Despite the high investment costs of 13.5 million euros, it is clear that this decision is an investment in people, commitment and cohesion. The cost framework has already been optimized through clever savings, without sacrificing important functions such as the washing hall.

On an architecturally modern, well-designed site, a building will soon be built that offers the best possible conditions for the fire department and DRK. The financing is solidly planned - sticking with the old building would have been more expensive and unsustainable.

The new rescue center could be ready by the end of 2028.
