On July 19, 2024, the Federal Foundation of Baukultur made a stop in Stuttgart as part of its summer tour and transformed the Raumgalerie into a lively place of exchange. The focus was on the exhibition "EINEINSZWEI - Feuerwehrarchitektur", organized by Christian Gaus, Saskia Gaus and Thomas Geuder.

A special highlight of the evening was the interview with Thomas Geuder, the space journalist and operator of the Raumgalerie. In his interview, he explained the importance of the Raumgalerie as an architectural forum in the west of Stuttgart. "Architecture is not just about building," Geuder emphasized, "it encompasses philosophy, sociology, society and community." The Raumgalerie presents this diversity through changing exhibitions by architects, artists and designers.

Every year, the Raumgalerie organizes four to five exhibitions and numerous events that bring building culture to life. One example of this was the "EINEINSZWEI" exhibition, which was dedicated to the architecture of fire station buildings. "Fire service architecture is an exciting topic," explained Geuder, "because it has to combine functional requirements with design quality. These buildings shape our infrastructure and deserve more attention."

By combining specialist knowledge, creativity and social discourse, the event created an inspiring platform for all those interested in architecture. Watch the video for more exciting insights from Thomas Geuder!
