The fire service is changing. We’re thinking ahead. With the second edition of our exhibition EINSEINSZWEI, held on October 1 at the Raumgalerie Stuttgart, we turned our attention to the future of fire service architecture.

What must a fire station be capable of today to meet the challenges of tomorrow? This question served as the common thread linking the evening’s presentations, projects, and discussions. New technologies, changing operational conditions, and societal shifts are also presenting architecture with new challenges. For us, the process of addressing these challenges begins today.

‍

‍

Following the first exhibition in 2024, we deliberately continued the dialogue: from lessons learned from completed fire stations to potential developments through 2035. The goal is to identify changes early on and examine their implications for buildings, spaces, and processes.

The only constant is change.

Our starting point is people. Fire stations must function effectively during emergencies while also providing space for training, collaboration, and community. Our work is shaped by the need to integrate these requirements and combine them with sustainable, architecturally sophisticated design.
