AIT Magazine

We are delighted that our project, the fire station Tübingen-Lustnau, is featured in the current issue of the renowned AIT magazine. The article highlights the special architectural and sustainable qualities of the building, which was the first fire station in the city to be built using timber frame construction.

With a focus on sustainability, the building combines innovative solutions with functionality: FSC-certified wood from regional forestry, photovoltaic systems, solar thermal energy and a wood pellet heating system contribute to the resource-saving operation. The striking S-shape of the building not only enables optimal use of the site, but also makes a design statement with a large-format shop window front that puts historical firefighting equipment in the spotlight.

We are proud to have made an important contribution to sustainable, municipal architecture with this project and would like to thank AIT Magazine for recognizing our work.
